Students at Timberline Elementary recently had a special visit from local orthodontist Dr. J of Stellar Smiles Ortho, who spent time with more than 550 children during their specials rotation sharing the importance of oral health and confident smiles.
Throughout the day, students were engaged, curious, and full of energy as they learned what an orthodontist does, when it’s the right time to see one, and why straight, healthy teeth play an important role in overall well-being.
A key highlight of the presentation focused on proper brushing habits. Dr. J walked students through when to brush, how to brush effectively, and why consistency is so important. Students learned how to reach all surfaces of their teeth and build daily habits that will help them maintain healthy smiles for life.
The event was made possible through the coordination and support of Timberline Elementary’s school nurse, Nurse Dunn, whose dedication to student health and wellness helped ensure a smooth and successful experience for all.
