As the sole sponsor of SchoolSafe ID-an innovative, web-based dismissal system—Stellar Smiles Ortho is helping eliminate the confusion and chaos often associated with school pickups. The Smart Dismissal App replaces outdated methods like walkie-talkies, bullhorns, and handwritten notes with a streamlined digital process that enhances student safety, accountability, and efficiency.
Here’s how it works:
- Each student receives a unique backpack tag, while parents are given a matching car tag to display in their vehicle.
- As cars arrive, teachers and volunteers use the app-accessible via iPads, Chromebooks, or smartphones-to enter the car tag numbers.
- Inside the school, students remain safely in their homerooms until their name and photo appear on a classroom screen, signaling its time to head out.
The system also allows school staff to track pickup history, manage custody arrangements, and ensure that each child is dismissed only to authorized individuals.
